SkillsFuture free 6-month AI subscription: how it works

Singapore Citizens aged 18 and above can redeem a one-time free 6-month AI subscription after attending an eligible AI course. This guide sets out how it works, based on the official MySkillsFuture page, and lists the courses in our directory tagged Free AI Sub.

Who can redeem it

According to MySkillsFuture, you must meet all three conditions:

  • You are a Singapore Citizen.
  • You are aged 18 and above.
  • You have attended an eligible AI course that ends on 16 Sep 2026 or later.

Note that the date is about when the course ends, not when it starts.

How to find an eligible course

Look for the 'Free AI sub' label when you search for or view courses on MySkillsFuture. The official page says any course carrying the label is eligible for the 6-month free subscription.

How to redeem

The official page describes four steps:

  1. Attend an eligible course. Attend any AI course carrying the "Free AI sub" label.
  2. Receive a notification. You get an email with redemption details after attending the course.
  3. Submit the request form. Fill in the form found in the redemption details email and indicate your preferred AI subscription.
  4. Activate your subscription. You receive the outcome and, if successful, activation details by email.

You do not need to redeem immediately. You have 60 days from the date of the notification email to submit your request.

The five AI subscriptions you can choose from

MySkillsFuture says five subscriptions are currently available. As described on the official page:

  1. ChatGPT Plus. Access to OpenAI's latest reasoning models, with higher usage limits than the free tier.
  2. Google AI Pro. Expanded access to Google's AI tools, including Gemini, plus 5TB cloud storage. The page notes that YouTube Premium Lite is not included in this redemption.
  3. Manus AI. A general AI agent. The plan includes 8,000 credits (worth S$50) per month.
  4. Microsoft 365 Personal. Microsoft 365 apps such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with built-in AI, including Copilot, plus 1TB of cloud storage.
  5. Singtel AI Pass. A curated suite of premium AI tools for three months, after which you select one tool for a further three months. The tools named are Manus, Hailuo AI, Otter.ai, MiniMax Code, MiniMax Audio and AKOOL.

The official page suggests you match the subscription to your goals and try each provider's free tier (where available) before deciding, noting that free tiers may not include all premium features.
